Rooster Run Golf Club serves as the official training home for Slaughter Golf. Located in Petaluma, California, this premier public 18-hole championship course provides the perfect setting for golfers of all skill levels to improve their game. Whether you're booking a private lesson to iron out a slice or taking a playing lesson on the course, Rooster Run provides tour-quality amenities to elevate your learning experience.
Practice Facilities
Our private and group lessons take full advantage of Rooster Run’s comprehensive, state-of-the-art training areas:
- Premium Driving Range: Features an all-grass teeing area perfect for full-swing diagnostics and real-turf feedback.
- Dedicated Short Game Area: Equipped with a practice bunker to help you master sand saves, chipping, and pitching.
- Two Putting Greens: True-rolling surfaces that match the speed and quality of the course greens for precision alignment training.
Pro Shop, Equipment & Rentals
Don’t have your own clubs yet, or looking to try something new? The Rooster Run Pro Shop is fully stocked to accommodate you:
- Premium Callaway Rentals: High-end Callaway Premium Rental sets are available for $75 per set. It is highly recommended to call the shop in advance to reserve these premium sets, as availability is limited.
- Standard Club Rentals: Reliable standard club rental sets are available for $25 per set, making it incredibly easy for beginners to start learning immediately.
- Practice Range Balls: Range buckets are available right at the facility, priced at $10 for a small bucket (40 balls) and $15 for a large bucket (80 balls).
- Gear & Apparel: The golf shop carries top-tier golf clubs, bags, balls, tees, and specialized apparel to ensure you are fully prepared for the course.
The Course
Designed by renowned architect Fred Bliss, Rooster Run is a par-72 layout that stretches up to 7,001 yards from the back tees. It blends scenic Sonoma County beauty with strategic design elements that make every on-course lesson both engaging and educational.
